 On-Road International Triathlon
Mein letztes Rennen vor dem Ironman in Hawaii. Nach 2 Wochen hartem Training in San Diego.
Die meisten meiner Radtouren waren mit Michelle Johns oder Paula Newby Fraser. Am Diensteg hatte sich Norman entschieden mitzufahren, was für uns hieß wir hatten so etwas wie Tempotraining mit dem Motorrad.
Norman ist in super Form und wenn er vorne war ging der Tacho nicht nur einmal auf über 50 km/h.

Dass ich heute für das Rennen nicht ganz regeneriert sein würde war klar. Trotzdem hatte ich ein gutes Rennen. Es waren fast nur Kurzdistanz Triathletinnen am Start, viele von Ihnen frisch von den
Weltmeisterschaften vor 3 Wochen.
Belida Granger (5. Hawaii 04) und Heather Fuhr (2. Hawaii 04) waren außer mir die 2 Ironman Triathletinnen am Start. Belinda wurde 4. Heather finishte auf dem 10. und ich auf dem 8.Platz.
Ein gutes Rennen für mich was mir Zuversicht für Hawaii gibt.

On-Road International Triathlon (English version)
It was my last race before the Ironman in Hawaii, after two weeks of hard training in San Diego.
Most of my bike rides where either with Michelle Johns or Paula Newby Fraser. Last Tuesday Norman decided to ride with us, it was like motor pacing for 5h. The computer showed 50 km/h frequently.
The ride was followed by a run on the track.
I knew that I wouldn't be 100% recovered from that workout today. But I had a good race. Most of the girls where short course athletes, may of them fresh from Worlds 3 weeks ago. Belinda Granger (5th Hawaii 04) and Heather Fuhr (4th Hawaii 04) where the 2 Ironman athletes beside myself. Belinda had a great race and finished 4th today, Heather was 10 and I got 8th place.
A race, that gives me confidence for the Ironman World Championships in 2 weeks.
