 Katja in San Diego
Katja Schumacher is here in San Diego, her training home away from home, putting the final training finishes on her preparation for Ironman Arizona. She's been an Ironman Champion before but this time she's gained a couple of new training partners that she says are sure to give her the edge when she hits the 26.2 mile run course in Tempe on April 15, 2007.
Seven and Carmella pictured here setting the pace to the end of one of her training runs, "have put the joy in running strong, fast, and long like no other time in my life", says Schumacher. "They run effortlessly and will go that way forever, it's how I plan to race in a couple of weeks."
The four-time Ironman Champion is one of the very successful Multipsports.com athletes, and has recently been sponsored by Newton Running. Her training partners Seven and Carmella, coached and trained by SitK9Sit will be sure to be getting some big treats from their training partner when Katja returns for her preparation for the 2007 World Championships in Kona.
